Bawdeswell Hall - Norwich
This property, with its Dutch gables was, according to the carving on one of them, constructed in 1683 by Henry Eglinton and via several ownership changes passed through generations to the current owners.
In 2008 – 2009 it was altered and renovated by H. Smith & Sons (Honingham) Limited. A major part of the works was the complete renewal of all services, the mechanical services element being designed and installed by Gowing & Hunt Limited.
The old basement plant room was disregarded and a new one formed in one of the attached outbuildings. This new plant room contains the new oil fired boilers, hot water cylinders, cold water storage tank and booster equipment together with an automatic control panel.
