Designed by architects Limbrick Limited, constructed by Kier Eastern and opened by Lester Piggott and Frankie Dettori in July 2007, this £10m redevelopment of the July Racecourse represents the first phase of a comprehensive master plan.
In addition to the redefining of the entrances and turnstiles, alfresco dining, bar facilities, cafe and bistro, betting outlets and toilets have been incorporated, together with an air conditioned conservatory to increase restaurant capacity.
Gowing and Hunt Limited, have undertaken the provision of air conditioning and ventilation systems, including the refurbishment of existing kitchen facilities, incorporating a gas safety system. Hot and cold water services were installed throughout, together with sanitary ware and above ground drainage to complete a 'Mechanical and Plumbing' package.
