Rainbow Store Orton - Peterborough
Having left the Orton Centre in 2001 the 'Co-op' has now returned. Although a quarter of the original size, the new Rainbow Store is a welcome addition to the £10m scheme to revamp the Centre.
This modern, purpose built store provides 14,500 square metres of space, was built by Glugtson Construction and fitted out by Kier Eastern.
Gowing and Hunt Limited, worked closely with the main contractor in the provision of mechanical services to the building. These services consisted of air conditioning, air handling unit together with associated distribution ductwork, gas services, ventilation, overdoor air curtain, hot and cold water services, automatic controls, sanitary ware and above ground drainage, including a Grease Pak Enzymatic dosing module.
