Tesco Stores - Aylsham
Located in central Aylesham, this new Tesco store reflects the local vernacular of Norfolk. The architects, Gordon, White and Hood have incorporated Norfolk pantiles, brickwork in Flemish bond and green oak structures.
Gowing & Hunt Limited, carried out the installation and testing of all piped services both internally and externally to the building.
From a packaged boiler house, craned and sited on the roof, new heating flow and return pipework was taken to serve air handling units also on the roof, door curtains within the store and back of house high level fan convector units.
As with all retail outlets, the project completion and store opening date is the single most important part of the contract and is ‘cast in stone’. Again on this occasion, we were completed and commissioned well before the client’s moving in and stocking date.
