Westgate Shopping Centre - Peterborough
The Anglia Co-operative Society's, flagship store is the Westgate Department Store, situated in the heart of Peterborough, opposite the well known Queensgate Shopping Centre.
Gowing and Hunt was commissioned by the main contractors Kier Eastern for the refurbishment of chilled water plant and pipework, together with ventilation ductwork to retail areas whilst the store remained operational throughout the works.
The project was divided into two phases; Phase 1 involved installation of the ductwork for tempered air supply, air conditioning and hot and cold water services.
Phase 2 involved the installation of new primary chilled water plant, pressurisation unit, heat exchanger and buffer vessel, together with ancillary equipment including pumps.
